Voyage of the Astral Zephyr is the story of a spaceship, as told through various recordings, all compiled and organized for reader enjoyment.

Start by reading the Prologue, and enjoy the story.


This story started because I was designing a computer game, and wanted to get a better sense of the setting before going to far.  It was November, and everyone else was writing, so I wrote as well.  Eventually I decided that a blog would be a good format for this sort of story, so I started this blog with daily updates.

I don't actually edit (or even read over) what I write before I post it online, so some errors might exist.  I trust in other people to help me, but either my first drafts are alarmingly good, or nobody feels like speaking up.

Also, I am quite aware that Sci-Fi Writers Have No Sense of Scale.  I write away from the internet, because the internet is distracting.  However, the internet is also my main way to fact-check, so... occasionally pulling numbers off the top of my head leaves me horribly, horribly wrong.  (This is also my first foray into Sci-fi, so there's that too.)

Please point out in the comments any place I am horribly wrong.  Or typos, if those jump out at you.  Or errors in general.  I'll delete your comment after the post in question is fixed, but my appreciation will last forever
